MOVE FORWARD- ONWARD, IT SHALL BE WELL. Pa. Im/bk2/cam/5. Move forward- press onward because it shall be well. What does it means to move forward or go onward? To move forward and go onward simply means to keep moving, move ahead, continue doing what you are doing.
Exodus 14:10- 15 10. As the Egyptians army approached, the people of Israel saw them far in the distance, speeding after them, and they were terribly frightened and cried out to the LORD to help them............. 15. Then the LORD said to Moses, Quit praying and get the people moving! Forward, march.
The people of Israel left Egypt with joy be happiness but when they got to the point of crossing the red sea they were terribly frightened. Likewise you too may have left your own Egypt of sinning (lying, stealing, gossiping, fornication, adultery, deceiving, frauding, wickedness,.......) and that you are worried of the red seas you are seeing in front of you- worried if you could still move on with Salvation and trusting in the LORD to keep saving you. Just remember to keep moving onward, and backward never as the Word of God came to the people of Israel telling them to get moving! Forward, march on.
Moses told the people to wait, stand claim but the LORD said to Moses it is no time to wait, stand or keep cool rather, the time to keep moving. Exodus 14:13-15 13. But Moses told the people, Don't be afraid. Just stand where you are and watch, and you will see the wonderful way the LORD will rescue you today. The Egyptians you are looking at- you will never see them again. 14. The LORD will fight for you, and you won't need to lift a finger! Then the LORD said to Moses, Quiet praying and get the people moving! Forward, march!
In this our Christianity journey, there is no time to stand waiting for the perfection to do thing. Our believing in God, relying, hoping and obeying Him should be come rain and come sun, and whethe in the winter or summer. The Bible says If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done. Ecclesiastes 11:4
Going back would be dangerous. Rather let's keep telling God helping us that we want to advance- in prayer, in doing His Will, in His Word, and pressing forward in the Spirit and not repeating the mistake you once did or returning back to your Egypt.
Do you know what keep moving forward does? It destroys every Pharaoh and his entire cavalry- horses, chariots and charioteers in your life, spiritual journey of faith, in your home and in your work. The Bible says 15. The LORD said to Moses, Why do you cry to Me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward. 16. Lift up your rod, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go on dry ground through the sea. 17. And I will hard hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them, and I will set glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his hor . 18. And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots and his hor . Exodus 14:15-18; 22. And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, they waters being a well to them on their right hand and on their left. 23. The Egyptians pursued and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his hor . 24. And in the morning watch the LORD in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down upon the host of the Egyptians, and discomfited the host of the Egyptians, 25. Clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily; and the Egyptians said, Let us flee from before Israel; for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians. ...............28. The waters returned and covered the chariots and the hor and all the host of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea; not so much as one of them remained. Exodus 14:22-28
There is progress in moving forward in the LORD; there is promotion in pressing forward in the LORD; there is success in marching forward in the LORD. Just remember to be obedient to the voice- Word of the LORD, letting Him direct and lead you in His own paths and ways for the Bible says God's ways are as mysterious as the pathway of the wind and as the manner in which a human spirit is infused into the little body of a baby while it is yet in its mother's womb. Ecclesiastes 11:5; [See the way God does things and fall into line. Don't fight the facts of nature] Who can straighten what He has made crooked? Ecclesiastes 7:13
BOTTOM LINE: 'We can make our plans, but the final outcome is in God's Hands. Proverbs 16:1'
'A man is a fool to trust himself! But those who use God's wisdom are safe. Proverbs 28:26'
Finally, the Bible says Psalms 77:19-20 Your road led by a pathway through the sea- a pathway no one knew was there! You led your people along that road like a flock of sheep with Moses and Aaron as their shepherd.
